03 / 15 03 — The approach
How we decided to solve it
- Design for the busiest hour, not the demo
- Every screen was designed against a Saturday afternoon: three barbers cutting, four people waiting, a phone ringing. If a flow needs training to survive that, it's the wrong flow.
- One product, not a bundle
- Booking, POS, queue, commissions, payroll and inventory share one data model, so a completed cut updates the queue, the commission and the stock at once. Integrations between separate tools would have recreated the original problem.
- Make the shop findable, not just manageable
- Each shop gets a public storefront with real availability and search structure, so the software brings customers in rather than only recording them.
- Price it for a real Philippine shop
- Tiering and payment flow were built around GCash and the way small shops actually handle deposits, not around a Western subscription model.
